COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Nearly 14 years later, police and Central Ohio Crime Stoppers remain active in their pursuit of solving a southeast Columbus homicide.
The investigation into the death of 19-year-old Carlos Hardiman Jr., who died on March 20, 2012, is ongoing, Crime Stoppers said. On that night, at 11:17 p.m., officers arrived at Nationwide Children’s Hospital after receiving reports of a shooting victim.
Prosecutors say mother suffocated 3-year-old in south Columbus homicide
Police met witnesses at the hospital and were told the shooting occurred in front of a home in the 800 block of Forest Street in the Southern Orchards neighborhood, southeast of Downtown. Hardiman was then taken to Grant Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead in the early hours of March 21.
No other details have surfaced since the shooting, despite continuous efforts to raise awareness of Hardiman’s death and others like it in the Columbus area. For a previous report on this story view the video player above.…
