OHIO, USA — The hourly minimum wage in Ohio hit $11 in the new year and tipped employees can expect $5.50 per hour.
Minimum wage in Ohio has crept up every year since voters passed an amendment to the Ohio Constitution in 2006. The yearly increase is tied to inflation and the Consumer Price Index. The increase for 2026 was 2.8%.
“There are not that many people on minimum wage in Ohio,” said Steve Stivers, President and CEO of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. “About 150,000 Ohioans are on the minimum wage.”…
