Man arrested after calling police for non-existent intruders in Ohio, admits to consuming mushrooms

OHIO — A Washington County man was arrested after deputies responded to a report of intruders that authorities later determined did not exist, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said 56-year-old James Lambert called to report that people were inside his home and refusing to leave. When deputies arrived, they found no intruders inside the residence. However, a firearm was observed in plain view, authorities said.

According to the sheriff’s office, Lambert admitted to consuming a “large amount” of store-bought mushrooms prior to calling authorities. He reportedly consented to a search of his home, during which no other individuals were located…
