Large fentanyl, meth seizure follows Ohio I-77 traffic stop

CALDWELL, Ohio — A traffic stop along Interstate 77 in Noble County led to the seizure of large amounts of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine, and multiple felony charges against a Columbus woman, according to the Noble County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Jason Mackie said the stop occurred the evening of Jan. 3, when a deputy pulled over a vehicle traveling south on I-77 near Caldwell for a registration violation.

The driver and sole occupant, 24-year-old Malacha Bryant of Columbus, was found to be driving with a suspended license, authorities said.

During the stop, deputies noted indicators of possible drug activity. A K-9 unit was deployed, and the dog alerted to narcotics, providing probable cause to search the vehicle, the sheriff’s office said…
