COLUMBUS, Ohio — Michigan-based Taikisha USA, Inc. announced it will be closing its Columbus facility at the end of May.
Taikisha USA, Inc. is a subsidiary of Japan’s Taikisha Limited, “designing and building large-scale industrial paint finishing systems, including paint booths, ovens, conveyors, and automation for automotive, heavy truck, aerospace and other sectors, offering turn-key engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) for major manufacturing plants and EV facilities,” according to its website.
In a WARN Notice submitted to the state, the company said it will close the plant on 1939 Refugee Rd. on May 31. Because of the closure, 81 employees will be laid off…
