COLUMBUS, Ohio (Inside INdiana Business) – The parent company of Value City Furniture is liquidating its inventory and closing its remaining stores, including six in Indiana, after attempts to sell the 77-year-old retailer to a company that would keep the doors open failed.
In all, Columbus, Ohio-based American Signature Inc. will close 89 stores under the Value City and American Signature Furniture brands.
Going-out-of-business sales started Friday at 79 Value City Furniture stores in Indiana and 12 other states and American Signature’s 10 stores in Delaware and Florida, according to a joint venture that is conducting the sales.
