COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a car in the Blacklick area early Saturday morning, according to the Columbus Division of Police.
At about 4:37 a.m., an adult was crossing East Broad Street, west of the intersection with Reynolds Crossing Drive. At the same time, a black BMW X3 was traveling westbound on East Broad Street and struck the pedestrian. Police noted that the BMW had a green light.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital to receive treatment, and was later pronounced dead. The driver of the BMW stayed at the scene of the crash and was uninjured.
