Three people injured after semi-truck crashes into house in Ohio

OHIO — Three people were injured Wednesday afternoon after a semi-truck left the roadway and struck a house along U.S. 30, according to authorities.

In a press release, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said the Lima Post responded to the crash at approximately 2:47 p.m. The incident involved a commercial semi-truck that traveled off the right side of the roadway while heading westbound.

Troopers identified the driver as 55-year-old Gerry Bright of Frankfort, Indiana. Bright was operating a 2022 Volvo semi when the truck struck a guardrail and a fence before crashing into a house. The impact caused the home to partially collapse and also damaged three parked vehicles…
