Ohio State students flood Buckeye Donuts during winter storm

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Throughout the day on Sunday, waves of Ohio State student packed Buckeye Donuts on North High Street in search of a hot cup of coffee, a donut and a warm breakfast meal.

By 11 a.m., manager Jimmy Barouxis said he sold more than 2,000 donuts, proclaiming Sunday the busiest day in January the iconic store had ever seen.

“This is what we live for, why we do this. The campus kids have nowhere to go, there’s very few options to go. We are walking distance from all the dorms, and these kids need get out burn off some energy and enjoy the snow,” said Barouxis…
