An Ohio man caused some chaos. Things escalated during an aggravated robbery of a Brinks truck. The cash grab led to a police case, shots fired, as the thief took two hostages. He showed no regard for the lives of others.

As most of the country faces frigid winter conditions, the cold isn’t strong enough to deter crimes. Ohio residents must be better at handling the cold. Unfortunately, some police officers didn’t get to relax in their warm cars as a violent crime unfolded in the afternoon.

They responded to reports of a Brinks truck robbery outside the Elyria AT&T store on West River Road at approximately 3:02 PM. The suspect, identified as 37-year-old John Johnson, held the driver at gunpoint and forced him into the truck.

He stole an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in a separate vehicle. Police officers spotted the car in Lorain, and a chase ensued in residential areas. According to Fox 8, he reached speeds over 100 mph…
