Ohio Governor DeWine announces six new projects that will bring hundreds of jobs and millions in investment

Columbus, Ohio – Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Lt. Governor Jim Tressel, and Ohio Department of Development Director Lydia Mihalik announced the approval of six economic development projects expected to create 348 new jobs and retain 243 existing positions across various regions of the state. The initiatives are projected to produce more than $29.4 million in new payroll and $56 million in capital investment statewide.

The announcement came during the Ohio Tax Credit Authority’s (TCA) monthly meeting, where the board reviewed proposals in collaboration with JobsOhio and regional partners. These approved projects span the central, northeast, southeast, southwest, and west regions of Ohio.

Central Ohio Sees Growth in Synthetic Lubricants

Aerospace Lubricants, LLC, located in Columbus (Franklin County), will expand its operations to support business growth and product diversification. Known for producing synthetic lubricants for automotive, aerospace, industrial, and military markets, the company is set to create 15 new full-time jobs and generate $1.38 million in annual payroll. TCA approved a 1.175 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit to support the project.

Northeast Ohio Welcomes Testing and Tooling Expansion

CSA America Testing & Certification LLC, operating in both Brecksville and Independence (Cuyahoga County), plans a significant U.S. expansion, including bolstering its head office and research operations. The global safety and environmental certification provider will create 97 new jobs with a payroll exceeding $9.2 million. The project received a 1.619 percent, eight-year tax credit.

In the same region, Rupes USA, Inc. in Solon is set to add 53 new positions, with over $2.6 million in payroll. The company, a leader in professional tooling and vacuum systems, will purchase a facility to expand manufacturing, distribution, and training capacity. The TCA approved a 1.138 percent, six-year tax credit for this initiative.

Southeast Ohio to Host Unique Glass Production Facility

A particularly notable project comes from Stewart Glass, LLC, which will build a new pattern glass production facility in Logan (Hocking County)—the only one of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. Specializing in solar panel pattern glass, Stewart Glass will add 105 jobs and generate over $8.2 million in annual payroll. TCA approved a 1.56 percent, eight-year tax credit for the project.

Cincinnati to Gain Autonomous Tech Hub

In Southwest Ohio, Aurrigo International, Inc. plans to set up a permanent presence in Cincinnati (Hamilton County). The European automotive and aviation tech company designs autonomous airport ground operation vehicles and control systems. Its U.S. base will focus on R&D, creating 28 jobs and over $3 million in payroll. TCA approved a 1.423 percent, seven-year tax credit to support the new site.

Manufacturing Innovation Expands in Dayton

Finally, Katz 1899 Inc. will create 50 jobs and generate $4.7 million in payroll through a new joint manufacturing venture with Peck Hannaford & Briggs in Dayton (Montgomery County). The company produces advanced systems for microelectronics, biotech, and pharmaceutical clients. The project received a 1.647 percent, eight-year tax credit.
