A much-hyped property tax relief bill passed in Ohio at the end of 2025 will do little for most Franklin County residents and will do nothing right away.
Among other things, Ohio House Bill 186 gives an “inflation tax credit” to property owners in school districts at the 20-mill floor and ties future increases in these districts to the rate of inflation.
