Urgent Winter Advisory Issued for Parts of Indiana and Ohio

A sweeping Winter Weather Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) for large portions of Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.

Residents are urged to prepare for snowy conditions expected to disrupt travel and impact daily routines throughout Friday.

Snowfall Expected Across the Region Starting Friday Morning

Beginning early Friday, multiple counties across Indiana and Ohio will be under a Winter Weather Advisory, with snow accumulations forecasted between 1 to 2 inches, and locally higher amounts in some areas. The advisory spans from 6 AM to 6 PM EST and encompasses several key urban centers and rural communities.

The NWS Wilmington, OH office announced the advisory at 12:28 PM EST on Thursday. The advisory includes portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central to west-central Ohio.
