Suspect Charged with Murder Following Fatal Burglary in Prairie Township, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Community Assistance

Tragedy struck at a residence in Prairie Township, where deputies with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office discovered the lifeless body of 72-year-old Harold Everette Moore. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office noted on social media that Mr. Moore had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. The report, dated Sunday, February 8, indicated that deputies responded to the scene at approximately 10:40 p.m., with medics pronouncing Moore deceased by 11:08 p.m.

Investigative efforts quickly moved to retrieve several valuable items reportedly missing from the home, including Moore’s vehicle.
