Upper Arlington’s Kingsdale Shopping Center to Enforce Parking Rules, Towing to Start February 23

Visitors to the Bob Crane Community Center might need to double-check where they park come next week, as the Kingsdale Shopping Center is cracking down on parking violations. Starting February 16, 2026, the center will issue warnings to those who park outside designated areas, with towing enforcement set to begin the following Monday, February 23. This decision, according to a statement on the City of Upper Arlington’s official government website, aims to address the concerns from local businesses about parking spaces being used by non-customers.

The parking policy update directly impacts those headed to appointments at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center as they too will no longer be able to use spaces earmarked for Kingsdale’s patrons, sparking concern for the ease of access and convenience that has long been a hallmark for the area’s businesses and medical facilities. From February 23, if you end up parking in the reserved spots of Kingsdale retailers, restaurants or other businesses, you could find your car towed and at your expense, the day’s shopping or doctor’s visit taking an expensive turn for the worse.
