OHIO — After a long stretch of snow and cold weather, spring-like storms are about to hit the Buckeye State.
The atmosphere is becoming unstable as a surge of moisture and warmer than normal temperatures continue ahead of the front. A few storms today could become severe, however, the main concern will be with the widespread chance of rain/storms starting later this afternoon in southern Ohio first.
We’ll be monitoring activity to develop along a boundary by 4-6 p.m. in SW/S Ohio, along the Ohio river. As storms track to the N/NE, toward I-70 by 7-9 p.m., then expected to push further north after 9-11 p.m.
Storms capable of producing wind gusts up to 60 mph, hail, and torrential rainfall. Additionally a few tornadoes are possible…
