Pedestrian in critical condition after being hit by car in Jefferson Township

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — One person is in critical condition after being hit by a car overnight Sunday in eastern Franklin County.

The sheriff’s office said that right before 3 a.m., a pedestrian was walking on the road in front of Taylor Road, where a driver was going east in a Honda. The driver hit the pedestrian and proceeded to call police and remain at the scene.

Medics arrived and took the victim to Mt. Carmel East hospital. The victim is listed in critical condition, per the sheriff’s office.

The crash remains under investigation…
