AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – The Summit County Prosecutor announced Monday that a man was found guilty of his 10th drunk driving offense in Ohio for an incident that occurred in 2024.
The conviction is 59-year-old Johnny Deloach’s fourth felony operating a vehicle impaired conviction in Ohio, and is his 11th OVI conviction overall, with prior offenses spanning from 2001 to 2021.
According to the prosecutor’s office, Deloach plead guilty to the following charges:
- One count of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, with a specification for additional prison term for certain repeat OVI offenders
- One count of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, a drug abuse or combination of them, with a specification for additional prison term for certain repeat OVI offenders
In October 2024, dispatchers received a report from a citizen stating they had been forced off the interstate by a vehicle that was waving through traffic.
