Family says construction worker killed in hit-skip crash had “electric energy”

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — The Columbus Division of Police is looking for the driver who hit and killed a construction worker early Saturday morning and then fled the scene.

The incident happened on Interstate 70 West near State Route 315 around 2 a.m. Saturday. The driver drove into a construction zone, hit a generator and killed 25-year-old Jordan Thomas.

“Jordan just had that electric energy,” Thomas’ mother Christina Greenwood said. “He would walk in a room and just naturally make other people feel welcome.”
