Columbus misses mayor’s hope for police recruiting, efforts continue to attract officers

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — The city of Columbus has fallen short of an “ambitious” police recruiting goal from Mayor Andrew Ginther, but the mayor continues to say additional officers are needed as the city grows.

“I want us to have more officers than ever before in the city streets,” Mayor Ginther said.
