Crashes close interstates around Columbus as counties issue snow emergencies

Winter weather is making more pain for central Ohio motorists.

Snow and high winds across the region have prompted several counties in the state to declare snow emergencies, including Union County, according to Dispatch news partner NBC4.

Franklin County had not declared a snow emergency by 10:30 p.m. on March 16, but several other counties had. According to NBC4, these counties were under a Level 1 emergency:

  • Athens County
  • Coshocton County
  • Guernsey County
  • Hocking County
  • Jackson County
  • Morgan County
  • Muskingum County
  • Noble County
  • Pike County
  • Ross County
  • Union County
  • Vinton County
