WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — An Ohio man is sitting in jail on reports of him shooting a family member.
The Defiance County Sheriff’s Office said it received a call just before noon on Saturday, which reported a woman had been shot by another family member in Highland Township. First responders arrived on scene and found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. They were transported to a hospital in serious, but stable, condition.
Police were searching for the suspect, identified as 63-year-old John Okuley from Columbus, for hours. He was taken into custody about 170 miles away in White County, Indiana, at 4:30 p.m…
