There’s no stopping passenger rail from coming to central Ohio, according to former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood.
“Nobody can stop this (passenger rail). Just, it’s going to happen. It’s going to happen because all the stars are aligned to make it happen,” Lahood told about 1,000 business, government and nonprofit leaders on March 20 at the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission’s State of the Region event.
“And it takes a lot of work. And it’s time consuming, but it’s worth it. If you want to take your community to the next level, then this is this is one way to make that happen,” said Lahood, who served as U.S. Secretary of Transportation from 2009-2013 and is an advocate for passenger rail projects…
