A large-scale, cross-state law enforcement operation has resulted in multiple arrests and the seizure of a significant quantity of drugs, firearms and cash in an investigation spanning Ohio and Kentucky.
Authorities confirmed that the coordinated effort involved the Boyd County Sheriff’s Office, the Lawrence Drug and Major Crimes Task Force in Ohio, the Northeast Kentucky Drug Task Force and the Ashland Police Department. The investigation was the result of ongoing collaboration between agencies working to disrupt suspected drug trafficking networks operating across state lines.
According to officials, the joint operation led to the recovery of approximately 67 pounds of marijuana along with a supply of Oxycodone pills. In addition to narcotics, investigators confiscated 18 firearms, including at least one weapon reported stolen.
