Man found fatally shot inside suspected after-hours club in south Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person was found fatally shot Wednesday morning inside a building that police believe to be an after-hours club.

According to Columbus Police Sgt. Joe Albert, officers received a call about a shooting around 7:30 a.m. at a business in the 1600 block of Lockbourne Road, just south of Frebis Avenue. Albert said the person who called 911 is the owner of the building and found the man inside.

The man, who police said suffered a gunshot wound, was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:40 a.m. Family members identified the victim as Dekevin Louis.

Albert said it’s unclear when the shooting happened, as police did not get any overnight reports of gunshots in the area. Detectives are attempting to find surveillance video in the area to narrow down a time frame…
