Gunfire on Columbus’s southeast side Thursday evening left two people wounded, according to police. Officers ultimately found the victims at different locations and had them taken to separate hospitals. As reported by WBNS, Columbus Division of Police officers responded to the 5600 block of Xebec Drive near Winchester Lakes Boulevard and located the two victims at separate spots. The station said one victim’s condition was described as stable while the other was critically injured but later improved. Detectives are investigating and are asking anyone with information to speak up.
Police are asking for tips
Per a Columbus Division of Police media release, anyone with information should call the Columbus Police Felony Assault Unit at (614) 645-4141 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS (8477). Investigators said they are canvassing the area for witnesses and video that could help identify a suspect. The Felony Assault Unit is handling the case, and no arrests were reported Thursday night.
