OHIO — A woman has been charged after her 8-year-old child brought a loaded handgun to an elementary school in Kent on Thursday, according to police.
Authorities said officers responded to Longcoy Elementary School around 12:30 p.m. after a student reported seeing a gun in a second grader’s waistband during recess.
School staff located the weapon, identified as a loaded 9mm handgun, inside the child’s backpack and secured it. No injuries were reported…
