COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Police have made two arrests in connection with an east Columbus assault in which a woman reportedly jumped from a window to escape being pistol-whipped.
According to a police criminal complaint, on Jan. 5 at around 9:55 p.m., officers responded to reports of a person with a gun at the Berwick Gardens apartments, near the intersection of East Livingston Avenue and Courtright Road in Eastmoor.
Police arrived at the rear of the apartment complex and located a woman who called 911 hiding between the exterior wall of a garage and a discarded board of wood. The caller appeared to be suffering from injuries sustained from jumping out of a bedroom window of the apartment building.
