Winchester Lakes Ambush: Columbus Teen Accused In Double Shooting Faces Judge

An 18-year-old Columbus man is set to face a judge Friday morning, two weeks after a shooting at a southeast side apartment complex left two teenagers wounded. Court records show Jeremiah Washington is scheduled for arraignment at 9 a.m. Both teens survived and later told police Washington was the one who opened fire.

According to WSYX, court documents state that investigators believe Washington held the teens at gunpoint and ordered them to call someone he had confronted earlier in the day. When they did not do what he demanded, the filings say Washington shot both victims in the upper body. The station reports the teens were treated at local hospitals and later identified him to detectives.
