German Village restaurant sustains ‘significant’ damage from fire

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A popular German Village restaurant suffered severe damage after a fire Sunday afternoon.

The Thurman Cafe on Thurman Avenue sustained “significant” damage, Columbus Division of Fire Lt. Nick Davis said. The fire was first reported just after 2:15 p.m.

When the fire began, the restaurant was full of employees and lunch customers, all of whom were evacuated, and no injuries were reported…
