One person dead following hit-and-run incident in Ohio, police searching for suspect

OHIO — A 77-year-old man died following a hit-and-run crash involving a tractor Wednesday evening in Licking County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Authorities said Allen Kissel was driving an International Harvester 2250 Loader northbound on state Route 79 in the right lane when the crash occurred. Investigators say a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado traveling behind the tractor failed to maintain a safe distance and struck the vehicle.

After the collision, the pickup truck reportedly traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a curb. The driver then fled the scene on foot, according to troopers…
