DeMonye’s Greenhouse in Columbus slated for demolition after nearly a century in business

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A staple of the Columbus community is slated to close its doors indefinitely at the end of the summer.

DeMonye’s, located at 2500 Airport Dr., has been a family-owned business since 1929 and is slated to be demolished to make way for apartments.

Thursday, 10TV spoke with the owner, Brian Killilea, who says it was a family decision to close the shop. He added that he’s been doing this for 40 years, and called his time at the store, “a good run.”…
