BRUNSWICK, Ohio (WJW) – A Brunswick man is celebrating after winning not once, but twice within a month from scratch-off tickets sold at the same gas station.
According to Ohio Lottery, Richard won the first prize, worth $5,000, on March 28 after purchasing an Ultimate $5,000,000 scratch-off ticket from the Brunswick Valero at 4236 Center Road.

Richard told lottery officials he was shocked by the first win, but even more so after winning $10,000 from a Billion scratch-off ticket sold from the same gas station less than a month later, on April 24.

The lucky winner said he enjoys purchasing scratch-off tickets from that Valero location, “but after winning twice in the past month, he’s thinking it might be his lucky gas station,” Ohio Lottery wrote in a Tuesday release.
Richard will be taking home more than $10,900 from the two wins after mandatory taxes.

According to lottery officials, the Brunswick man plans on putting the winnings toward a new roof.
Ohio Lottery said the Ultimate $5,000,000 scratch-off game still has three top prizes worth $200,000 a year for 25 years up for grabs. Meanwhile, the Billion scratch-off game has two jackpots worth $1 million a year for 20 years still available…
