Riverside teen arrested after driving car into party-goers, killing 1 and seriously injuring 4

A 19-year-old San Bernardino man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after allegedly driving into a crowd following a party in Riverside, killing a 20-year-old woman and seriously injuring several others, police announced Friday.

According to the Riverside Police Department, officers responded around 12:39 a.m. on May 24 to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon involving a vehicle in the 3500 block of Franklin Avenue in the city’s Eastside neighborhood.

When officers arrived, they found multiple people who had been struck by a vehicle. One victim, identified as 20-year-old Daisy Sandoval of San Bernardino, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other victims were hospitalized in critical condition, while two more suffered serious injuries…
