The Domenigoni Fire grew to 62 acres Thursday, July 9, after breaking out near Diamond Valley Lake on the south end of Hemet, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
It was reported around 1:43 p.m. near Domenigoni Parkway and Searl Parkway in Hemet, about a mile northeast of Diamond Valley Lake, according to Cal Fire. The fire burned through open space before crews established hose lines and bulldozer operators helped cut containment lines.
