Two earthquakes measuring 3.1 and 2.7 strike near Corona seconds apart

A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck near Corona late Tuesday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake occurred at 11:17 p.m. about six miles west-southwest of Corona, the USGS said. The quake was recorded at a depth of approximately 1.49 miles.

Seconds later, a second earthquake with a magnitude of 2.7 struck roughly the same area.

No injuries or damage were immediately reported…
