Rodney Otis Rich, 37, and his mother, Tammie Walker, 63, both of Costa Mesa, were arrested today, August 18, 2026, following a critical shooting in a local grocery store parking lot.
The incident occurred early this morning in the busy 2100 block of Newport Boulevard. According to updates released by the Costa Mesa Police Department, the adult male victim survived the attack but remains hospitalized in critical condition.
