A minor tremor struck near La Quinta in Southern California’s Riverside County on Monday, August 31.
A 2.9-magnitude earthquake was recorded 22 kilometers south-southwest of La Quinta at 4:04 a.m. on Monday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The epicenter was located at a depth of 9.9 kilometers.
