Investigators have developed new leads in the 2023 killing of a Southern California man but said they still need the public’s help identifying the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle.
Rancho Cucamonga resident Victor Salazar, 41, was found dead Aug. 18, 2023, near 25th and Center streets, according to a news release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies who responded to the scene found Salazar lying in the street with a gunshot wound. He was rushed by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
More than three years later, the Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the case.
“Through continued investigation, homicide detectives developed additional information and believe a full-size sport utility vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban, was involved in the murder,” investigators said in an updated news release…
