Suspect Arrested Following Hit-and-Run Involving High School Student in Riverside

RIVERSIDE, CA — A 47-year-old Bloomington man was taken into custody following a hit-and-run incident that injured a high school student earlier this month.

Riverside Police officers and firefighter-paramedics responded to the intersection of Victoria Avenue and Myrtle Avenue at approximately 3:39 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2026, after receiving multiple reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. Authorities determined the victim, a student at Poly High School, was struck by a driver who then fled the location. Paramedics transported the student to a local hospital for medical treatment.
