A 75-year-old Anaheim woman has been arrested in connection with the death of a puppy that police say was intentionally run over in Santa Ana last month.
Hahn Nguyen was taken into custody Thursday morning after detectives used automated license plate reader technology to identify the vehicle involved in the Sept. 8 incident and trace it to an address in Anaheim, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
Police said Nguyen admitted to owning and abandoning the 9-month-old pit bull, named Blackey. Detectives also located the vehicle believed to have been involved parked inside her garage.
