Inland Empire residents are frustrated over a constant stream of big rigs driving through neighborhoods, an issue that California Attorney General Rob Bonta claims multiple cities and a county have failed to address despite a new state law requiring changes.
On Oct. 5, Bonta announced that letters were sent to Riverside County and seven cities — Chino, Moreno Valley, Perris, Rancho Cucamonga, Rialto, Riverside, Ontario — over an alleged failure to comply with AB 98, a law that required redesigning truck routes to avoid residential areas and other “sensitive” areas such as schools, daycares, parks, playgrounds, nursing homes and hospitals.
