Community Meetings Set To Discuss Sheriff Oversight

Three public listening sessions have been set as the Riverside County Board of Supervisors ad hoc committee on sheriff oversight continues to evaluate options.

“This listening session is an important opportunity to share your concerns, experiences, questions and ideas,” Supervisor Jose Medina said in a social media post announcing the first community forum. “Community input will help inform the committee’s work and future recommendations to the board.”

The first event is set for October 13 from 6-8 p.m. in the Board Hearing Room at the Riverside County Administrative Center, 4080 Lemon St. in Riverside. The second is set for October 22 from 6-8 p.m. at the Coachella Valley Water District Steve Robbins Administration Building, 75515 Hovley Lane East in Palm Desert. The final forum is set to be held virtually on October 26 from 6-8 p.m. with additional details set to be announced…
