Country Star Brought to Tears by Young Fan Who Survived Bone Marrow Transplant

Cody Johnson paused his concert in Anaheim, Calif., Saturday night to hug a young girl after he spotted her holding up a sign about her health journey

Cody Johnson stopped his concert Saturday night to give a young fan a memory she’ll never forget.

After the “Watching My Old Flame” crooner spotted a sign that read, “I survived my bone marrow transplant to see CoJo. Your biggest fan,” Johnson handed his guitar to a stagehand before making his way to the audience to embrace the girl.

“Y’all might have to give me a minute,” he tearfully said to the crowd after returning to the stage. Johnson then addressed the young lady before singing his hit song, “Til You Can’t.”

“You don’t ever give up, you understand? Don’t you ever give up. Keep fighting strong,” he said.

Fans of the country star applauded the sweet and emotional moment captured by an audience member , with one fan writing, “I was at this show in Anaheim, Ca. Saturday night and this was such an incredible moment. He truly is an amazing man and artist.”
