MORENO VALLEY- In the early hours of Sunday, January 28, 2024, tragedy struck as sheriffs responded to a report of a shooting in the 13600 block of Red Mahogany Drive. The incident, which occurred at 1:46 AM, left a 40-year-old male resident with life-threatening injuries.
Deputies swiftly arrived at the scene within minutes of the report and discovered the victim, who had been shot. Paramedics quickly responsed and transported the wounded individual to a local hospital. Despite efforts to save his life, the victim succumbed to his injuries at 7:28 a.m., marking a sad turn of events. The victim’s name is currently being witheld pending next of kin notification.
Witnesses at the scene have cooperated with deputies, providing crucial information to aid in the ongoing investigation. Authorities describe the suspect as an adult male in his 20s, with curly brown hair, clad in a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants. The individual managed to flee the scene before deputies arrived and currently remains at large.
