A 29-year-old convicted felon, Helene Nicole Littlewiggins of Corona, has been sentenced to four years in state prison after a confrontation involving a knife at a local family’s apartment. The sentencing follows Littlewiggins’ guilty plea to charges of assault and burglary, alongside a misdemeanor for brandishing a deadly weapon, as part of a plea agreement with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office.

The incident unfolded on the evening of December 6, 2023, when Littlewiggins, armed with a large kitchen knife, forcefully entered the apartment of a Corona family, demanding to see someone who did not reside there. Despite the family’s insistence that the individual was not present, Littlewiggins proceeded to search the apartment.

Corona Police Department’s response to the 911 call initiated a neighborhood search, although Littlewiggins initially eluded capture. She was identified the following day through a security camera notification received by the apartment’s occupants, leading to her arrest after police were provided with a description of her vehicle.
