A Wind Advisory was in effect through early this morning due to gusty overnight winds. Wind speeds will weaken through the day.
This weekend will provide a much-needed break from the wind and wet weather. Take advantage of the lull in activity as another low-pressure system will arrive near Southern California on Sunday afternoon.
In anticipation of next week’s rain event, a Flood Watch has been issued to draw attention to the threat of heavy rainfall. Current rainfall estimates depict an inch of rain possible for the low desert.
This incoming storm system will also bring another round of high elevation snow as early as Saturday through the middle of next week. Snow levels will lower to 6,000 ft. by Monday. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for Riverside County and San Bernardino County mountains from Saturday evening through Tuesday afternoon.
