Historic Landmark’s Mexican Cuisine – El Adobe de Capistrano

El Adobe de Capistrano is a Mexican restaurant which is on the site of a California State Historic Landmark. It is two blocks from the historic Mission San Juan Capistrano and the Train Depot.

During his administration, former President Richard Nixon enjoyed the Mexican dishes prepared exclusively for him by El Adobe’s chef. These dishes inspired El Adobe’s change from continental to Mexican Cuisine. [From the El Adobe website]

They have the following menus: Regular Menu, Sunday Brunch Menu, Children’s Menu, Bar Menu, and Happy Hour Menu.

El Adobe de Capistrano is located at 31891 Camino Capistrano in San Juan Capistrano, California.

They are open Mondays through Saturdays from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM and on Sundays from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM.
