A tragic incident occurred in Perris, where a bicyclist was killed after a collision with a vehicle, as confirmed by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The accident happened around 2:55 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of A Street and Redding Way. Upon arrival, deputies from the sheriff’s Perris station discovered the bicyclist in an unresponsive state, suffering from severe injuries.
Despite immediate lifesaving attempts by the responding officers, the bicyclist was declared deceased at the scene. The vehicle’s driver was present when the authorities arrived and cooperated fully with the investigation process.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the incident occurred as the vehicle was making a left turn from Redding Way onto A Street. It appears that the bicyclist did not stop at a stop sign, leading to the collision with the vehicle’s front end.
The identity of the deceased bicyclist is being withheld until the next of kin can be notified. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department urges anyone with further information about the crash to reach out to Community Service Officer Johnson at 951-210-1000.
