San Bernardino is launching a Mobile Veterinary Clinic on February 20. The opening ceremony will be at Seccombe Lake Dog Park at 10:00 am. City officials and representatives of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, the clinic’s funders, will attend.
The launch aligns with National Love Your Pet Day. To mark the occasion, free vaccinations and microchipping for pets will be available from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Mobile Veterinary Clinic is a project by the San Bernardino Animal Services Department. It aims to make pet care more accessible by offering services like spay and neuter procedures, vaccinations, and microchipping at various city locations.
Kris Watson, San Bernardino Animal Services Director, said the Mobile Clinic aims to make pet care more accessible. Lynn Valbuena, Chairwoman of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, supports the initiative, saying it will improve pet health in the community.
The Mobile Veterinary Clinic was created to meet residents’ needs for more accessible veterinary services. San Bernardino Mayor Helen Tran thanked the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians for funding the mobile clinic. The clinic will assist residents who struggle to access or afford traditional veterinary services.
